Nahum Melvin-Lambert, Brad Russell and Luka Chalwell all scored as Bishop’s Stortford won 3-0 in a Pre-Season Friendly on Tuesday at home against Sittingbourne. Leon Davies switched the play to the right and Tommy Lethbridge cut the ball back to Jack Smith, his first time cross was deflected to Russell but his shot was blocked and the loose ball fell to Melvin-Lambert who turned smartly and fired low across goal. Harry Forde’s left wing cross wasn’t dealt with at the far post and it was deflected into the path of Russell who volleyed in from close range. Four minutes later, Chalwell added the third with a close range volley from a left wing corner that the Brickies failed to clear.
