Matthew Jones-Roberts Joins The Blues

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew Jones-Roberts as the General Manager of Bishop’s Stortford Football Club.

Matthew brings with him a wealth of experience in building partnerships having spearheaded a leading hospitality sector consultancy, with a track record of strategic growth and marketing initiatives.

Matthew also holds a strong background in local engagement having served a four-year term on Canterbury City Council.

Effective immediately, Matthew will lead the club’s off-pitch operations, with a focus on enhancing supporter experience and driving revenue growth to help strengthen the club’s on-field ambitions.

Speaking following his appointment, Matthew spoke of his excitement at the opportunities ahead: “I’m thrilled to join a club with such a rich history and can’t wait to meet our terrific supporters as we begin the 2025/26 campaign with a friendly against Stevenage on Saturday.

In my short time at the club already, I can feel the passion of our talented group of officials and volunteers and I look forward to collaborating with them all as we look to drive the club forward on and off the field. Allez Les Bleus!”
