Smith Bolsters Squad With Attacking Duo

Steve Smith has added to his ranks with the addition of two attacking players.

Joining us on an initial month-long loan from National League side is striker Nikolay Zlatev.

Nikolay arrives at the Grundon Community Stadium following a prolific 2025/26 season that saw the young forward net 40 goals whilst featuring for the Shrimpers U19s and during a loan stint at Basildon Utd.

Having signed his first professional contract in July, Nikolay joins us fresh from a stint at our opponents in the FA Trophy this Saturday, Hanworth Villa, for whom he netted two goals in an FA Cup victory last weekend.

Also joining the Blues is exciting winger Ned Hepburn.

Former Sutton United youngster Ned also enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26, having been named the Young Player of the Year at Grays Athletic whilst on loan at the club.

Ned joined The Gravelemen permanently after parting ways with Sutton United in the summer but now links up with the Blues as they look to continue their recent run of form.
