The Grundon Community Stadium

Bishop’s Stortford Football Club is pleased to announce that Woodside Park will be renamed as ‘The Grundon Community Stadium’ ahead of the new season.

The move represents an extension of our existing partnership with the UK’s largest family-owned supplier of waste management and environmental services, which began in 2023.

Grundon provides commercial waste management to more than 15,000 organisations across the country, including sports venues Silverstone Race Circuit, Ascot Racecourse and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Founded in 1929, and with operations stretching across the southern half of the UK, the company puts a clear focus on helping customers reduce their environmental impact, maximise resources and find value in their waste.

Grundon’s services include mixed recycling, general waste, food waste, clinical waste and hazardous waste collections, as well as specialist cleaning and event waste management.

Speaking about the partnership with the club, Bradley Smith, Operations Director at Grundon said:

“Grundon are thrilled and proud to be supporting the Blues. As a local company who are deeply committed to community engagement and supporting local initiatives, partnering with Bishop’s Stortford Football Club is a natural fit for us. Football has a unique way of bringing people together, fostering team spirit and inspiring excellence – values with resonate with those we hold dear at Grundon. We look forward to cheering the Blues on to victory and contributing to their successes on and off the field.”

Blues Chairman Ian Kettridge added: “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Grundon and thank them sincerely for their continued support as we enter an exciting new era with teams of all ages from the local community able to enjoy the new surface and facilities.”
